Terms of service
Effective April 4, 2026
These terms govern your use of the Bringboard platform ("Service") operated by Bringboard ("we," "us"), based in Athens, Greece. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.
The service
Bringboard is an applicant tracking platform that helps teams manage their hiring pipeline, communicate with candidates, and coordinate interviews. The Service includes the web application, APIs, hosted careers pages, and related features.
Beta
The Service is in open beta. During this period, we may change features, limits, or pricing structures. Beta features are provided "as is" without guarantees of long-term availability. We will provide reasonable notice before introducing pricing changes.
Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us immediately at hello@bringboard.com.
Organization accounts can invite members. The organization owner is responsible for managing member access and permissions.
Your data
You retain ownership of all data you or your team enter into the Service, including organization settings, positions, candidate records, emails, notes, and files. We do not claim intellectual property rights over your content.
You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display your data as needed to operate the Service, including making backups, providing search functionality, and rendering careers pages.
Candidate data responsibilities
When you use Bringboard to collect and process candidate personal data, your organization acts as the data controller under applicable privacy laws (including the GDPR). You are responsible for:
- Having a lawful basis for collecting candidate data
- Providing candidates with appropriate privacy notices
- Responding to candidate data access, correction, and deletion requests
- Configuring application forms and careers pages to reflect your obligations
We act as a data processor and handle candidate data according to your instructions and our privacy policy.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything unlawful or discriminatory
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to use
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service
- Send spam or unsolicited bulk messages through our email features
- Upload malicious files or code
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.
Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, code, documentation, and branding, is owned by Bringboard and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you rights to our trademarks or branding.
Third-party integrations
The Service integrates with third-party platforms (Google Calendar, GitHub, and others). These integrations are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.
Availability
We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, infrastructure issues, or circumstances beyond our control may cause downtime. We will notify you of planned maintenance when possible.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bringboard is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost revenue, data loss, or business interruption arising from your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or €100, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your organization's handling of candidate data.
Termination
You can close your account at any time through the application settings or by contacting us. We may terminate or suspend your access for material breach of these terms, with notice where practical.
On termination, we will delete your data within 30 days unless retention is required by law. You can request a data export before closing your account.
Changes
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Greece. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Athens, Greece, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.
