Audit trail
An immutable log of every action taken in your organization.
The audit trail records every meaningful action in your org: candidate stage changes, emails sent, team member invitations, position updates, interview bookings, and workflow executions.
Viewing the audit trail
Go to Settings → Audit trail to see the org-wide event log. Each row shows:
- Event type (e.g. application submitted, stage changed, email sent)
- A human-readable description of what happened
- Who did it (team member name, candidate, system, or automation)
- When it happened
- The affected object (candidate, position, application)
Filtering
Filter the audit trail by:
- Event type - narrow to specific actions like stage changes or emails
- Actor - see everything a specific team member did
Per-application timeline
The same events appear in the Activity tab on individual candidate profiles, filtered to that specific application. The org-wide audit trail shows everything across all candidates and positions.
Immutability
Audit trail events cannot be edited or deleted. This is enforced at the database level. If an event needs correction, a new event is appended that references and supersedes the original.
The audit trail is designed for compliance with hiring regulations that require a record of all actions taken during the hiring process. Every stage move, email, and decision is permanently logged with full attribution.
