LinkedIn enrichment
Fetch LinkedIn profile data for candidates automatically.
When a candidate has a LinkedIn URL in their profile, Bringboard can fetch and display their LinkedIn data directly in the candidate workspace.
What you see
The LinkedIn tab on the candidate detail page shows:
- Profile - photo, full name, headline, summary, location, connection count, and follower count
- Experience - work history with company, title, dates, description, and location
- Education - schools, degrees, fields of study, and years
- Skills - a list of skills from their LinkedIn profile
How enrichment works
When you open a candidate's LinkedIn tab for the first time, Bringboard initiates a profile fetch. The tab shows a loading state while enrichment is in progress. Once complete, the full profile data is cached and displayed.
Refreshing data
Profile data can become stale as candidates update their LinkedIn profiles. Click the Refresh button at the top of the LinkedIn tab to re-fetch the latest data. The previous data remains visible while the refresh is in progress.
Requirements
- The candidate must have a LinkedIn URL in their profile (set through the application form or manually)
- LinkedIn enrichment must be configured in your org's backend settings
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Cause | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| No LinkedIn tab | Candidate has no LinkedIn URL | Add a LinkedIn URL to the candidate's profile |
| Profile not found | The LinkedIn URL is invalid or the profile is private | Verify the URL points to a valid, public LinkedIn profile |
| Enrichment unavailable | Backend enrichment service is not configured | Contact your administrator to enable LinkedIn enrichment |
