Departments
Organize positions by department.
Departments are org-level categories used to organize positions. They appear as filters on the careers page and in position details.
Default departments
Bringboard creates a starter set during onboarding: Engineering, Product, Design, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, and People.
Managing departments
Go to Settings → Departments to:
- Add new departments
- Rename existing departments
- Reorder departments (drag to sort)
- Remove departments (positions in the removed department become uncategorized)
Each position belongs to one department (or none). Changing a department's name updates it everywhere.
