Filtering and columns
Filter candidates by any field and customize which columns are visible.
The talent pool supports the same filtering system as the position pipeline, adapted for org-wide scope.
Filter bar
Click the filter button above the table to open the filter palette. Available filters include:
- Built-in properties - source, created date, position, application status
- Candidate fields - phone, location, LinkedIn, GitHub, or any custom candidate field
- Application fields - resume, salary expectation, visa sponsorship, or any custom application field
Active filters appear as chips in the toolbar. Click a chip to edit it, or click the X to remove it. Multiple filters combine with AND logic.
Filter operators
Each field type offers appropriate operators:
| Field type | Operators |
|---|---|
| Text | contains, has value, has no value |
| Select | is, is not, is any of |
| Number | equals, greater than, less than |
| Date | before, after |
| Boolean | is yes, is no |
| Location | city contains, country is |
Column visibility
Click the Columns button to toggle which columns are visible, drag columns to reorder them, or pin columns to the left.
Three-tier configuration
Column settings follow a three-tier cascade:
- Personal override - your browser stores your column preferences per org. Any change you make is saved automatically.
- Org default - admins can save a default column layout at Settings → Talent pool that applies to all team members who haven't customized their own.
- Hardcoded default - if neither personal nor org config exists, Bringboard shows name, email, source, application count, latest position, status, and created date.
When you've customized your columns, a dot indicator appears on the Columns button. Click Reset to team defaults in the popover footer to go back to the org default.
