Availability settings

Set your working hours, buffer time, and daily interview limits.

Availability settings control when candidates can book interviews with you. They combine with your calendar's free/busy data to compute open slots.

Configuring availability

Go to Settings → Calendar (below the Google Calendar connection). You'll see:

  • Working hours - toggle each day of the week on or off and set start/end times. Default: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • Buffer between interviews - minimum gap before and after each interview. Options: 0, 5, 10, 15, or 30 minutes.
  • Max interviews per day - cap the number of interviews a candidate can book with you on a single day (1–50).
  • Timezone - auto-detected from your browser on first setup. Change it if you travel or work across timezones.

How slots are computed

When a candidate views your scheduling page, Bringboard:

  1. Starts with your working hours as the outer bounds
  2. Subtracts busy periods from your Google Calendar
  3. Subtracts existing booked interviews from the database
  4. Applies your buffer rules
  5. Filters for contiguous windows matching the interview duration
  6. Enforces your max-interviews-per-day cap
  7. Removes slots within the next 60 minutes (minimum booking window)
Free/busy data is cached for 5 minutes. If you block time on your calendar, it takes up to 5 minutes for those slots to disappear from the scheduling page.
